I have spent more than a year with POCO M4 Pro so I will tell you what I feel and whether should you consider it or not!
As you know, POCO is a sub-brand of Xiaomi phones, that’s why POCO is running on Android-based Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. This UI attracts more people by showing its smooth graphics optimization & useful features.

The POCO M4 Pro 5G is also running on Android 11-based MIUI 13 right now and it will be upgradable up to Android 13, MIUI 14 skin, which means a totally amazing going to happen with this best budget phone from Xiaomi. Let’s dive into the deep-
Design and Build Quality:
The POCO M4 Pro 5G boasts a sleek and contemporary design, featuring a slim profile and a glass back that adds a premium touch to the device. The larger rectangular shape on the rear panel looks more adventurous.
On that shape, the left side has a dual camera setup paired with an LED flashlight & on the other side, you can find POCO’s official branding.
The Volume Roker & the Power Button, are both placed on the right side, so sometimes we are confused to press the volume buttons and suddenly press the Power button.
But it feels fantastic when I see the 3.5mm Audio jack at the bottom, paired with a USB Type-C charging port and a set of loudspeakers. The surprising thing is, a loudspeaker is also played on the top of the phone.
The device features an elegantly designed plastic frame and back panel, seamlessly integrating the phone’s panel. On the front side, you’ll find a vibrant LED display, with a punch-hole cutout placed elegantly at the center top.
However, there is a noticeable bezel on the bottom of the screen, which some users may find less appealing. Overall, Its build quality is excellent at this price point.
Display:
The POCO M4 Pro 5G comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display that gives you a buttery smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate at 450 nits of brightness. However, an AMOLED display could have further enhanced contrast levels and power efficiency in terms of consuming battery & graphics optimization.
The display resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels containing 399 PPI dentist which is excellent as well. this display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
This display is one of the best LCD displays and allows multi-touch capacitive when you play games. Overall this display is excellent in terms of price & its efficiency.
Performances:
In terms of performance, the POCO M4 Pro 5g is a killer phone at this price point. It boasts an octa-core MediaTek’s Dimensity 810 (6 nm) chipset and it has commendable performance in handling multitasking and resource-intensive applications.
It has a dual-core of 2.4GHz core while the rest 6-cores provide the max clock speed at 2.0GHz. These CPU cores allow yo seamless performances with minimal lag issues while you play games.
The POCO M4 Pro is running on Android 11-based MIUI 13 and it is upgradable to Android 13-based MIUI 14. This upgrade allows you to enjoy buttery-smooth graphics.
I played PUBG Mobile, Call Of Duty Mobile, and other battle royal games, but this phone never disappointed me in making performance smooth. Sometimes I face s scratches frame drops when I played Sanhok Map in PUBG Mobile.
But if you ask us about these performances, I will highly ensure that the POCO M4 Pro 5G performance is excellent!
Camera:
The POCO M4 Pro contains a dual camera setup on the rear side including a 50Mp primary camera with f/1.8, 26mm, while the secondary camera is an 8Mp Ultra-wide lens allowing/2.2 and 119˚ wide range into one frame.
You can shoot your favorite moment on this phone excellently. It gives you detailed captures and color optimization is good as well. I shoot 1080p video at 60FPS for my youtube channel. There is also panorama support that allows you to shoot larger Frames at your wide range area.
For making video calls and selfie shooting, there is a 16Mp selfie shooter on the front side that allows the to do HD video calls and shoot FHD+ video at 60 FPS giving you smooth video graphics.
I do outside photography on this phone and can you believe, I feel that this is one of the best camera phones at this price point? Yeah. there are also other phones at this price, but the combination of the killer features has extended in POCO M4 Pro 5G.
Memory:
The combination of 6GB or 8GB of RAM ensures buttery-smooth performance, with minimal lag or stuttering during day-to-day tasks.
As per the memory variants, the POCO M4 Pro comes with 6GB RAM+128GB Storage & 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant in the global market. There is also a 4GB RAM+64GB variant for the Indian and Chinese markets.
To make your onboard storage extended, then you can use its MicroSD card slot, where to place a dual sim card or MicroSD card.
Sensors:
There is a Side-Mounted fingerprint scanner for screen lock, App Lock, and payment security. It works fast and accurately. Apart from that, it has an Accelerometer, Gyro, Compass, Wifi 802.11, and Bluetooth V5.1, GPS, NFC & other necessary wireless sensors.
Battery:
In terms of power supply, The POCO M4 Pro 5G comes with a 5000 mAh, non-removable one that allows you to watch movies all day non-stop. You can find a 33w wired charger in the box that can charge this phone from zero to 100% for around 1 hour.
