Despite the hype surrounding Android 14 upgrades, The Nothing Phone 1 received Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 Update. The cool thing about the updated software for the Nothing Phone 1 is that it’s built on Android 14. This update makes the phone more secure and private and improves the Glyph (which is like a special symbol) features. With the latest update, the home and lock screen customization page will look different and better. You’ll find new widgets, and the camera and the overall system will work more smoothly.

Nothing has just announced the release of Nothing OS 2.5 open beta 1 for the Phone 1 through their official X account. This new update includes some basic Android 14 features and a range of improvements specifically for Nothing OS. With Nothing OS 2.5 open beta 1, users can expect a highly customizable home and lock screen page with a stunning atmosphere wallpaper effect which can turn a regular photo into a wallpaper with moving colors. Users can also enjoy new solid color wallpapers and a monochrome color theme, providing them with more options than ever before.

Nothing Os 2.5 Open Beta 1 Exciting Features

In the latest Nothing OS 2.5 update, they’ve added a cool feature where you can customize a double-press power gesture button. This lets you quickly tap and access a feature you choose. Just go to Settings, then System, and finally Gestures to set it up.

They’ve also made some changes to the lock screen. Now, you have new shortcut options like Do Not Disturb, Mute, QR code scanner, and video camera. Plus, there’s a new three-finger swipe gesture to easily capture screenshots, and they’ve included a new screenshot editor and menu.

For Nothing Phone 1 users getting the Android 14 beta update, there are new widgets in town! You’ll find a pedometer widget to track your steps, a media player widget showing what songs are playing, and a screen time widget to keep an eye on how much time you spend on your phone. Just make sure to update your Nothing Launcher and Nothing Widgets app to the latest version on the Google Play Store to use these new widgets.
