When it comes to the best and most affordable option, the Vivo iQOO Z7 Pro stands out with its 120Hz curved AMOLED display and impressive performance. Do you know that when I hold this phone in my hand, you can’t believe I thought it was an expensive phone, something like the Motorola Edge+, etc.? Furthermore, its back design is fantastic, and its large dual camera and LED flashlight give the phone an awesome look.
Apart from that, this phone can handle applications and games in HDR mode at 60FPS with stable frames that are unbelievably high. I played PUBG Mobile Global on this phone, and I feel like no other phone can give these stable performances in terms of communication and rush time.
So today, we will review the Vivo iQOO Z7 Pro mobile with its pros and cons, which will help us understand your needs and expectations.
Vivo iQOO Z7 Pro Price In India
The iQOO Z7 Pro is an affordable phone in India and comes in two storage models: 8GB RAM+128GB Storage and 8GB RAM+256GB Storage. As for the pricing, the base model 128GB costs Rs 23,999, while the top model 256GB storage variant costs Rs 24,999 on Amazon. You can find the same thing on Flipkart at Rs 25448 and Rs 27,999.
So buying the iQOO Z7 Pro from Amazon is a good option because that will also save you money. When you apply coupon codes and a few bank offers, you can get up to a Rs 4000 discount, and the final price will be around Rs 20K at Amazon India.
iQOO Z7 Pro Review
The iQOO Z7 Pro will be my first choice when it comes to the best phone under 25,000 in India, with a 3D curved AMOLED display, 120 Hz refresh rate, the latest processor, and high FPS gaming support. As I have used this phone for a week and played PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile most of the time, I feel this phone is awesome. Even we get some negative points in this phone, which should be improved in the new update. Below, we have shared an iQOO Z7 Pro review with pros and cons.
Design And Durability
The phone is built with high-quality plastic and glass. The backside is made of glass, the frame is made of plastic, and the front side has a 120-hz AMOLED display that is also protected by Asahi Glass, which is mainly used to protect your phone. Its dimensions are 6.46 x 2.94 x 0.29, which looks like a larger phone, even though its weight is only around 175 grams, which made me speechless.
As for features, the bottom side has a USB Type-C charging port along with a SIM card slot and speaker. On the right side, you have a volume rocker and a power button, which are quite well-placed and comfortable. Overall, the design is fantastic and the durability is good, but you have to make the phone safe from high falls because of its plastic frame.
Display
Moving to Display, The phone has a 6.78-inch, larger AMOLED display that supports an in-display fingerprint scanner, 1B colors, HDR10+, and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness, which makes this screen fantastic. Even though its 120 Hz refresh rate makes the texture smooth, when you play gems on it, it looks like buttery smooth graphics. Its resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels, which supports 388 PPI with a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Personally, the display is quite good because it makes the graphics smooth, but one thing that should be improved is that when I surf any website, it looks unoptimized. When I surf a website, the elements are floating here and there. I have tested it on many websites, but the problem is almost the same. Sometimes it floats, and sometimes it shows half of the contents. But the good thing is that this can be fixed in a new update.
Processor And OS
The phone is running on an Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13 skin, which is expected to be upgraded to Android 14 out of the box. The iQOO Z7 Pro boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, which is made on 4nm process technology, is considered a high energy efficiency processor, and can provide stable system performance.
It has two total cores: 2 x Cortex A715 at 2.8 GHz and 6 x Cortex A510 at 2.8 GHz. The primary and secondary cores have high clock speeds, which is why they can give you stable performances even when you are playing games or running heavy applications. To make graphics more optimized it also integrated with Mali-G610 MC4 GPU.
Camera
Mobile photography has become one of the most essential things in our daily lives, which is why everyone wants the best camera phone with good system performance. The Vivo iQOO Z7 Pro comes with a dual camera setup on the rear side: a 64-megapixel primary camera at f/1.8 aperture with a 26mm lens; the second camera is a 2 MP depth sensor at f/2.4. Both together are set to provide 4K video recording, panoramas, and HDR videos.
Moving to the front camera, there is a 16-megapixel shooter at f/2.5 aperture. It also allows 1080p recording at 30FPS which is good. it will be ice on the cake if it supports 60FPS video recording.
Overall, both the rear and front cameras are quite good, but one thing is missing, which is 60FPS video recording. It matters when you shoot videos for your social media because they look smoother than 30FPS videos.
Memory And Comms
The iQOO Z7 Pro launched in two variants only: 8GB RAM+128GB Storage and 8GB RAM+256GB Storage. So there is no more chocolate to expect; unfortunately, there is also no support for external card supports, which means you cannot increase the storage of the phone. In this case, you have to use cloud storage.
Apart from that, The phone also supports Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth V5.3, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, USB Type-C 2.0, OTG, Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, etc.
It also comes in two colors: Blue Lagoon and Graphite Matte, I like the Blue Lagoon model, which is extremely awesome and looks premium in my hand.
Battery And Charging
As for the power supply, the company has sent a 66W charger in the box to charge its 4600mAh battery. Furthermore, the company claims that it can be charged 1–50% within 22 minutes. Unfortunately, there is no support for wireless charging and Reverse charging.
The port uses USB Type-C 2.0, which is good but not the best, because it is the latest technology, and many smartphone brands, have started providing USB Type-C 3.0 wires to the phone, which is best for charging and data transferring.
Editors Opinion on iQOO Z7 Pro Review
From my point of view, if you are looking for a huge phone with a 3D AMOLED display that allows competitive gaming, multitasking, and even a massive battery, then you can go with this phone. Paying $25K on this phone is not a bad idea, but the thing is, does this phone match your needs?
I do not recommend you buy it if you are looking for a camera for making short movies and want to upload them to social media because it does not support 60FPS recording. You can do good photography with this phone, but 60FPS video makes the texture better, and a very important thing is movie making.
Should you buy the iQOO Z7 Pro?
Buying the iQOO Z7 Pro even in 2024 is good because everyone wants a premium-looking phone with advanced technology, and it will be ice on the cake if there is a 120-Hz, 3D-curved AMOLED display. You can go with this phone if you want competitive gaming, multi-tasking, etc.
It is not the best option for mobile photography and videography. The camera setup is good, but only for normal photography and videography. You can save your memory on your device, but when it comes to short movie shooting, it is not the best option. Here are the 5 reasons to buy the iQOO Z7 Pro even in 2024:
