The cause for the game’s removal is unknown. Despite the fact that, at the time of writing, the game is available for download on the App Store.

BGMI is one of the most popular games ever released for Indian gamers. The game is so popular that its esports championship was shown live on national television. The event drew a large audience, but the game’s removal from the Play Store does not bode well for Indian esports.
