Nothing Phone 2a Features
There is a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display supported by a 120-Hz screen refresh rate. Its result is 1080 x 2412 pixels and supports 700 nits (typ), 1100 nits (HBM), and 1300 nits (peak) brightness. Also, it allows AOD and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. I think this will be the best display on this budget phone.
Looking at the hardware and software, the phone comes equipped with Android 14 paired with a Nothing OS 2.5 skin. The Nothing Phone 2A boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, which provides you with a 2.8GHz primary clock speed, which means you can run games on it without any lags or issues.
Looking at the rear camera, there is a dual 50-megapixel camera setup, which provides excellent photography and videography. The primary 50Mp camera allows you to shoot in wide angles, whereas the secondary 50Mp camera has an ultra-wide angler lens that covers up to 114 degrees. It also supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), which means it will reduce shacky images and videos. It allows you to record 4K video at 30FPS while recording 60FPS video at 1080p resolution.
Not at all; there is a 32-megapixel shooter on the front side, which will also provide you with 60FPS video recording and HDR support.
Moving to memory options, the phone comes in three models: 8GB RAM+128GB Storage, 8GB RAM+256GB Storage, and 12GB RAM+256GB Storage. Unfortunately, we’re missing the external card support in the phone, and you can’t increase the onboard storage in it.
It comes with all the necessary sensors, like an in-display fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, a gyro, proximity, a compass, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth V5.3, NFC 360-degree, Galileo, GLONASS, BDS, and QZSS support.

- The phone is made with only Plastic Material. The Previous model was built in with Steel frame and Glass back, but this time, all are made with plastic and easily show you fingerprints.

- The Phone 2a has UFS 2.2 support only. In this era, we should have at least UFS 3.0 or 3.1.

Nothing Phone 2a vs Nothing Phone 1
The first phone of the Nothing is Phone (1) which will be launched in 2022 at under the 25K budget and can be the direct alternative of the newly launched Nothing Phone 2a.
The Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED Display supported by a 120Hz screen refresh rate, HDR10+, up to 1200 nits peak brightness, and AOD Features, while the Phone 2a has a slightly larger display and improved quality.
The Nothing Phone (2a) comes with a 6.7-inch, 120Hz LTOP AMOLED Display, that supports up to 1300 nits peak brightness. There is a slightly larger display and improved brightness.
Moving the Hardware and Software, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with Android 12 which is upgradable to Android 14-based Nothing Os 2.5 skin. Also, it brought a Snapdragon 778G+ 5G (6 nm processor which is good for multi-tasking and gaming as well.
On the other side, Nothing Phone (2a) comes with an inbuilt Android 14-based Nothing Os 2.5 skin and promises the 3 years of major software updates. Also, it boasts MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset which is slightly better than Phone (1)’s Snapdragon 778G+ Chipset.
Both phones have no external card support and three same memory options— 8GB RAM+128GB Storage, 8GB RAM+256GB Storage, and 12GB RAM+256GB Storage model. As we compare the read and write functions, the Phone (1) is slightly better because it comes with the support of UFS 3.1 while the Phone (2a) supports only UFS 2.2 only.
Moving to camera optics, both are quite good. Both phone carries a dual 50Mp camera sensor on the rear side which allows you 4K recording at 30FPS and 60FPS and requires 1080p resolution. However, the front camera is different. The Phone (1) has only a 16Mp shooter while the Phone (2a) brought a 32Mp shooter on the front side making its selfies and video shoot better.
Talking about Battery and charging, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 4500mAh battery with the support of 33W wired and 15W wireless charging support. Also, it allows 5W reverse charging technology. On the other side, we have Nothing Phone 2a which comes with a 5000mAh massive battery and 45W fast wired charging support, Unfortunately, we do not have the option to charge wirelessly and reverse charging.
Talking about pricing, Both Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2a) are different. The Phone (1) price starts at Rs 29,999 for the base model while the Nothing Phone (2a) base model 8GB RAM+128GB Storage model price starts only 23,999. Nothing Phone 1 vs Nothing Phone 2a: Verdict
Both phones come with excellent performance and good specifications but choosing one of them is hard. The Phone (1) was the first ever model launched by the company while the Phone 2a is pretty new in the market.
They bring a lot of changes and major improvements in this variant— The Phone 1 comes with inbuilt Android 12 which is upgradable to Android 14, that’s but Nothing Phone 2a comes with inbuilt Android 14 and promises to provide three major software updates like Android 15, Android 16 and Android 17 update.
However, Phone 2a has slightly better performance, Camera Efficiency, Battery, Charging, and Display Optimization and the price is cheaper than the Phone (1) So I would like to recommend you if you are looking to get a Nothing Phone then you should go with the Nothing Phone 2a instead of Nothing Phone (1)

Right, it was launhced yesterday, but it was just a prediction. As its two way price comparing Specifications is really good. I can analyze one cons facts in the phone that is the UFS 2.2 that should be 3.0 or 3.1 atleast, but other specs are really good at this cost. That’s why I predicted, the Nothing Phone 2A can be a best selling Android Phone of the Year. However, more great phone’s is about to launching.
